MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russia's Battlegroup Zapad has taken control of the settlement of Karpovka in the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
"As a result of active operations, Battlegroup Zapad have liberated the settlement of Karpovka in the Donetsk People's Republic," the statement read.
Ukraine lost up to 370 fighters killed or injured in combat against Russia's Battlegroup Vostok over the past day, in addition to losses in manpower and equipment on other fronts, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
"The enemy lost up to 370 military servicepeople, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, and 18 motor vehicles," the ministry said in a daily situation update for Battlegroup Vostok.
This is in addition to up to 350 Ukrainian fighters eliminated over the past day by Russia's Battlegroup Tsentr, up to 215 by Battlegroup Sever, up to 170 by Battlegroup Zapad, over 110 by Battlegroup Yug, and up to 50 by Battlegroup Dnepr, the ministry said.
